What we cannot take
The short list
Almost all of it is hazardous material, which is regulated for good reason and needs a licensed route rather than a junk truck.
- Paint, stain, solvents and thinners
- Motor oil, fuel, antifreeze and lubricants
- Pesticides, herbicides and pool chemicals
- Propane tanks and pressurized cylinders
- Car batteries and damaged lithium batteries
- Asbestos-containing material of any kind
- Medical and biohazardous waste
- Ammunition, explosives and flares
Where those should go instead
Dallas and the surrounding cities operate household hazardous waste collection for residents, which is the correct route for paint, chemicals, oils and similar. Car batteries are usually taken back by the retailer that sold them, and propane cylinders by an exchange point.
For anything suspected of containing asbestos — older floor tile, pipe lagging, some textured ceilings — do not disturb it. It needs testing and, if positive, a licensed abatement contractor.
Set these items aside before your booking and everything else can still be cleared on the same visit.

Do you have a weight limit?
There is no published weight limit on ordinary household items, but trucks have a legal load limit and dense material reaches it long before the space runs out. Concrete, brick, tile, soil and similar are priced by weight rather than volume for exactly that reason.
Will you take something not on this list?
Probably — the list covers common items rather than everything. If you are unsure, add a photo to your booking or call and describe it. The only firm exclusions are hazardous materials.
What do I do with paint and chemicals?
Those need a household hazardous waste drop-off. Dallas and the surrounding cities run collection points for exactly this. Set them aside before the crew arrives and everything else can still go.
Do you take items that are broken or filthy?
Yes. Condition affects where an item ends up afterwards — donation, recycling or disposal — rather than whether we will take it at all.
Can you take a whole houseful in one go?
Yes, though it usually runs to multiple truckloads. That is a cleanout rather than a pickup, and it is scoped from photos or a walk-through before being scheduled.
