One item, but a real job
Bulk item removal is not about how much there is. It is about a single object that is too heavy, too large or too awkward for the number of people available to move it — which is usually one or two, standing in a garage looking at a treadmill and running out of ideas.

The detail that changes the price
For a bulk item, the route out matters more than the object itself. A treadmill in a ground-floor garage is a short job. The same treadmill in a third-floor apartment with a turn on the landing is a different one, and it needs a bigger crew and more time.
So the booking asks about stairs, doorways, distance to the truck and whether anything has to come apart. Getting that right in advance is what keeps the estimate accurate rather than revised on arrival — and a crew that arrives two people short simply cannot do the job that day.
The other thing worth measuring is the narrowest point on the route, not the item. Most bulk removals that fail do so at a doorway or a stair turn rather than because the object was too heavy.

Can you take a hot tub?
Yes. Where a tub cannot be moved out intact it is cut down on site and removed in sections. It should be drained beforehand, and it helps to mention any decking, fencing or level changes around it when you book.
Will you take a piano?
Upright pianos are routine. Grands depend on access and the route out, so tell us the floor, the doorways and whether there are stairs, and the crew will be sized accordingly.
Do you remove exercise equipment from upstairs?
Regularly — it is one of the most common bulk items and it is almost never on the ground floor. Dismantling is included where the machine has to come apart to get out.
How is a single bulky item priced?
By the space it takes on the truck, with the carry factored in. A very heavy item may also be assessed on weight. Either way the estimate is set before you confirm the booking.
Do I need to dismantle it first?
No. If something has to come apart to get through a doorway, that is part of the job. If you have already taken it apart that will usually make the booking quicker and slightly cheaper.
Can you remove a shed?
Small timber and metal sheds, yes — taken down and removed along with whatever is inside. Anything large, brick-built or on a poured slab should be described when you book so it can be assessed properly first.
